How do you use the shine?

How does it work I want to know how or when I should shine with Wolf

To block an attack, or to set up for a dmash.

Now i know that Wolf Shine reflect back the projectile at twice the speed and for 1,28 of damage compared to fox 1,5 it also as invicibility frames so it one of my favorite defensive move in the game even if has a set knockback and deal only 3%

The set knockback isn't too bad. It pushes the opponent right in front of ya to give you some options (ftilt, dtilt, jabs...). I love it. It quickly changes your position from defense to offense. Basically you can use a defensive approach for Wolf to pressure your enemies

I use it quite a bit and honestly I think its underused imo.
Its great for breaking momentum and characters who like to get very close.
It can also be easily followed up with A combo or smash.

A good opponent can predict it if you overeuse it and punish you if he manages to bait it out of you

Press down-B, duh.


But actually use it to set up an ftilt or dsmash when they're close.

Its a good quick attack that can catch an opponent off guard.

Replace air dodge with it. No reason to use air dodges when you can shine.
