How do you tech Marth's counter from the ledge?

sdi into the stage to hit it and then tech

you can tech it without smash DI if youre hit by the bottom of marth and just hold towards the stage.

when does the attack actually hit you? i feel like I DI it a lot of times but I dont know when marth's hitbox comes out, so I'm always hitting L too early or too late.

that's sort of confusing, because im not sure when he's setting 0 at for when it counters. does that mean that hit lag starts 14 frames after I hit the counter? meaning that I'd actually press L a little bit after my firefox hits his counter to tech?

You have to press L about 15 frames later than usual to tech marth's counter. That's 1/4 of a second. You usually don't have to SDI; just holding into the stage is enough.
