how do you short hop laser?

hey guys i'm having problems doing the shl most of the time i jump and shoot but he doesn't shoot the laser he just pulls his gun out and doesn't shoot in the air and then i jump and try to do it again but he jumps all the way. i didn't think it was possible to do 2 short jumps in a row but i saw robfalco do it twice in a row in a vid so i know it's possible but i can't do it for some reason i don't know why i don't understand what am i missing here? i've also saw a video of bombsoldier and he does two laseers after hanging on the ledge can someone tell me how to do that i know how to jump from and ledge and laser and sometimes i can get 2laserz but they aren't low enough one is high and one is low how do i get both of them to be low not where one is high and one low cause y'know it's really annoying i would be beating my freind all the time if i could do it right i know it he'd be so dead but it's ok i'll get it someday and teach that sucker what's up. also falco has really good combos that is why i like him so much because he is a combo character and i like characters with cool combos i think it's cause i like to eat combos in real life so that's probably why i picked him up so easily anyways this is my favorite combo it goes down throw into down tilt into dash attack into forward smash what is your favorite combo i bet it's not better than mine

anyways guys thanx for the help i really appreciate it cuz i would like to shl all the time with falco even tho i'm already the best and i beat everyone on my street playing with my feet there is always room to improve thanks guys!

Falco Board?

Short Hopping twices in a row is definitly possible.
If the laser doesn't come out, then you're pressing B too late.

If you're talking about Falco, SHL is very easy to do. Doing it well takes a little skill. Short hop, fast fall, B. It's all practice.

If you're talking about Fox, SHDL is kinda hard. Short hop, B, B. Very quickly. That's just practice too. Just slide your thumb from Y to B.

Falco can do a two lasers from a ledge hop. Just press away or down while on the ledge, immediately press up, then press B twice.

Fox can do three lasers from a ledge hop. Press away or down while on the ledge, then immediately press up and B three times; much harder than Falco's.

i can do both SHL and SHDL with ease. it's all in practice and consistency.

In reference to your comment about you SHL and his gun comes out but the laser doesnt this is just simply you fast falling too quickly, therefore your laser animation comes out, but the laser doesnt.

Just practice is all you need...if you really cant get it go into practice mode and bring the speed down until you can.

Practice just short hopping and lasering first, don't fast fall, don't move. Then slowly work them in.

I just slde my humb down from the Y-button (I think, the left button >_>) to the b-button and tap it quickly twice. It's a lot easier that way.

I find it easier to jump with the control stick to shdl with fox. The only catch here is you need to be very sensitive with your fingers.

I'm having the same problem too: I short hop, press B, but no laser comes out.. Sometimes it does, but most of the time it doesn't. Am I just pressing B too early or too late? What's the exact timing?
