How do you ledge trump and what are the inputs

I can't do it. I've always been struggling with it so I just cape off the stage as Mario but that's not nearly as fast. Help?

We had a thread with this same exact title a few weeks back.

All you have to do to ledge trump is grab the ledge while somebody else is already on it.

As far as falling to the ledge quickly from onstage, its not as easy to do in this gane because I believe the grabspot was moved to be slightly above the lip, compared to older games. I dunno what to tell you.

You run off stage and circle the thumbstick down and back just as the character moves off of solid ground. Practice it in training with your character and you'll then be able to recognize the frame where you circle the thumbstick.
