As my title states, how do you "jump cancel" shines?

I think its when your sheild only last for a few seconds quickly, i need to learn how to do it ASAP.

CAn anyone explain the basics of how to do it?

I've never cared so I've never done it, but I think it's something along the lines of...

You shine, then you jump to cancel it, but before you actually leave the ground, you shine again (and remain on the ground) so you can repeat.

Don't quote me on it, I haven't cared enough to try.

Um...

Basically it means that shines can be cancelled by jumping out of them (also up smash with the joystick and up+B). This allows you to combo immediately out of shines, because you don't have the usual lag afterwards. It also means that you can wavedash out of a shine, which increases combo ability.

Shine -> Jump -> Shine in place is called multishining, and is harder to do. The use for it is pressuring shields and getting around spotdodges.

You can also waveshine, which is just shine -> jumpcancelled wavedash (because of course, wavedashing is jumping with an instant waveland)
