How do you fight Ike?

Hello, this is a thread designed to collect up-to-date info on Match-ups for the Ike boards, which is always in desperate need of good info.

I come to you today with a simple set of questions, attempting to get the "other side" of ideas pertaining to the Matchups against Ike. Its just a few simple questions I'm hoping to get answered;

1. What is your general opinion of Ike as a character?
2. What moves do you fear from Ike?
3. Which moves do not trouble you at all?
4. Which moves/techniques do you use against Ike to gain the advantage?
5. What specific edgeguards do you employ versus Ike?

Feel free to add anything else that doesn't fit into the questions criteria. The goal is to collect information, so anything s useful.

On a side note, I may feel the need to quote this info. If you don't wished to be quoted, please tell me in your posts, and I will not quote you.

1.) Ike users are generally noobs.
2.) Getting hit in general.
3.) His counter because most Ike players can't use it properly.
4.) Projectiles.
5.) Projectiles.


Honestly Lucas should never lose to Ike because of his Projectiles and ability to space himself very well.

I eat all characters that cannot spam alive with Lucas ...

1. What is your general opinion of Ike as a character?
Pretty good.

2. What moves do you fear from Ike?
Jab. Back air. Forward Air. Neutral Air. Up tilt. Up smash. Forward tilt. Forward smash.

3. Which moves do not trouble you at all?
Down tilt. Down air. Side B. Down B.

4. Which moves/techniques do you use against Ike to gain the advantage?
Shield grab the jab. Projectiles. Edgeguarding.

5. What specific edgeguards do you employ versus Ike?
Projectiles. Using my own body to block Side B. Basically anything, Ike is extremely vulnerable off the edge.

1. Ike's too slow to be threatening. And I play scotu's Ike frequently.
2. Ike's jab combo, ftilt, utilt, and bair are all decent. His jab combo is his best move.
3. any smashes except usmash are all but useless.
4. You can poke ike all day with pk fire and there's nothing he can do about it.
5. PK Fire gimps his side b recovery, Hitting him from behind with a pk thunder as he rises on the aether will invariably stagespike and kill him.

Just as shibby said, a good lucas always beats a good Ike.
