It's basically like Brawls Dojo but goes more in depth on characters, items, stages and other game modes.
In can be accessed any time during the game and is exclusive to your version.
More sections of the Dojo appear as you unlock more characters, items, etc.
You unlock Luigi and his section of the Dojo becomes readable.

This way you can still read up on different aspects of the game, but are doing so in way that is rewarding to you.

The Dojo for Brawl was incredible and I hope they still do something like that, but this time specifically on the console

I've thought that they need something like this for Miiverse. Smash Bros. Miiverse will be inundated with thousands of posts, and I feel that Nintendo's going to need to break it down into Characters, Strategy, etc. so you'll actually be able to discuss a topic of interest.

Pause game, open internet app, navigate to the dojo.
I miss instruction booklets, I finally figured out why Tekken and Injustice don't have one. You gotta pause the game and select the manual button! But why couldn't they have a virtual manual AND a physical booklet!?! I mean yo slappin down 50 bucks for the game print me out a couple pages cmon! I don't wanna pause the game!

However, the benefit of a virtual manual is that it's contents can far exceed that which a physical copy could hold in the confined spaces of a game disc case.
Instead of having the starter character's special moves listed like they did with the melee booklet, they could fit in every character's entire moveset, and give notes on strategy and junk.

That'd be interesting.

There should be a sensei that acts as your guide, maybe a certain Nintendo character?

Not sure who though...

To Hipp and Soul_Shadow, I say the Sensei is dependant on the series with the main operator covering those who don't have an advisor or aid.

That's a cool idea...

Like, let's say, the Dojo is a futuristic setting and Monita from Nintendo Land asks you to choose a franchise. Each time you select a certain franchise, the background changes, the details of the info and even the background music changes. Each franchise would have a different sensei that leads through the guides.

Super Mario Bros: Toadsworth guides you as the infamous Mario theme (World 1-1) plays.
Legend of Zelda: Kaepora Gaebora guides you as the Zelda theme plays.
Metroid: Adam Malkovich
Pokemon: Prof. Oak
Kirby: Magolor
Donkey Kong: Cranky Kong
Star Fox: General Pepper
Yoshi: Shy Guy
EarthBound: Alec (Mother 3)
F-Zero: ?

I like the idea of some kind of voluntary in-game tutelage. The "How to play" videos show you the basics of the game, but I mean more advanced concepts for very specific parts of the game. Sure everyone has their own play style and preferences, but it would help newblood get up to pace if they had some of the basic fundamentals outlined for their characters.

The tutorials in Skullgirls were one of the most well-received aspects of the game, unlike any other fighter with how well it guides players through the basics. On the other hand, Smash Bros isn't a true fighter and the concepts are so much easier to grasp. Can't think of much in the way of complexity in the way of picking the game up, where as the series about is taking these simple concepts to a nigh-untouchable skill ceiling. Like, it will take a player less than a week to realize that Link is strongest as a keep-away sort of character. So with that, it is hard to say if it is worth the development time.

That said I liked when trophies touched on all the special moves. They should bring that back in some capacity for sure.

An in game dojo would certainly be fantastic. What I really want to see is a list of all the Pokeball Pokemon and what they do in this dojo, as well as items and assist trophies. Maybe show a short clip of what they do in battle.

The idea of an in-game dojo is an excellent one and senseis would be a nice touch to it, but adding complex strategies and useful information to each attack will help to increase to general skill of all the players. It's self-sustaining and always an excellent feature to visit in passing.

I think it's a great idea.Though wouldn't this kind of thing be better served as an internet site like Pokemon-GL that keeps track of your stats and unlocks?

I have already thought of in-game dojo mechanic tied into trophy system. Basically, each trophy would contain a page with hyperlinks to other trophies. If you would reach a page for which you don't have a trophy, you would receive information about the way of unlocking the trophy. Besides, the trophy pages wouldn't have to be closely tied to trophies themselves. Oh, and to make stuff weirder, there should be only a few trophies from which you could start the dojo walk.

I just want a heavy, full-color booklet like Brawl's, I don't care how many trees have to die, just give me my old-school game booklet.

Game and Watch could be Mr. G&W (like in Game and Watch gallery).
Ice Climbers could be Polar Bear.
And F-Zero could be the Announcer from GX.

Maybe have several different ones depending on who you're reading about. If you're looking up info about a Mario character, have it be Toadsworth. If you want to know something about Link, make it Navi(I only say Navi because she's the most iconic/memorable of Link's companions, so don't get pissy with me if you like Midna better(I do)).
EDIT: As I read this thread, I realize I am not the first to have this idea...
