How do you do insta teching?

where your tech covers like half the stage

I don't know if i have to crouch cancel and hit the shoulder button before the attack (the attack has to be faster than your shield animation?) or you just press the shoulder button or something. I'm so confused about this concept

If you SDI down and hit the stage you can tech it (called Amsah tech), but I think your first example was just teching a shine.

If you SDI down and hit the stage you can tech it (called Amsah tech), but I think your first example was just teching a shine.

The Amsah tech is done simply with ASDI and regular DI. If you SDI into the floor, the game won't allow you to tech. It would be really broken if you could tech in the floor at any%.
