How do the tournament rankings work?

What I mean is: how does Smashboards get the tournament players Smashboards names to list on the tournament rankings? I think people use the same tournament nickname as their smashboards name, but that isn't the case for ZeRo, as his Smashboards name is ChileZeRo. How do you get credit for your tournament results?

When you input the bracket, you attach their/your smashboards name.

The TO will put your name in but your points will go to your smashboards account so if your name was "fire" in a tournament and you claim that name as your smashboards account your name would be firedude923 on the rankings.

Thanks, I'm relieved to know that because my tournament name is the same as my Smashboards name. I put my Smashboards name in the notes section when applying to Get On My Level 2015.
