How do people have fun in for glory when you need a hard read to punish a single roll?

Yeah, For Glory isn't really fun. As digiholic said, most characters can D-Smash and get them out of there. Other options most people have are :

- Allowing them to roll into a jab.
- Reverse forward smash if rolling from ledge.
- If you run up to them for a punish etc, they will most likely roll backwards to avoid an attack. Run a little farther to account for their roll distance and go for a grab.
- Heckle them with projectiles whilst maintaining distance.
- Characters who have moves that travel fast and far with a constant hitbox can punish rolls. Examples that come to mind include Captain Falcon's Raptor Boost or Pit/Dark Pit's Upperdash/Electroshock arm.

Dsmashes are pretty consistent with most characters. With Mega Man (just because I main him), usmash, dsmash, and turn around fsmash all punish rolls pretty well and kill at higher %s. Also, if you can judge their roll distance, utilt completely wrecks people who consistently approach by rolling towards you.

Anticipating the backwards roll and aiming where they'll end up, as someone already suggested, is also a very satisfying punish.

Basically, if you're fighting a legitimate roll spammer, you should be able to punish pretty easily because they're not fighting smart. If you can't punish them easily, you're either not capitalizing on opportunities properly or they're just actually good.

Anyone with long-lasting hitboxes can punish rolls on reaction extremely easily. Part of the reason I love using Bowser is that Whirling Fortress shuts down roll spam pretty damn hard. Playing as Robin also means roll spam gets them a Thoron to the face.

Alternatively, play a quick character. Roll spamming is like a free combo for those guys.

I just don't get it

TL:DR im mad
Get better at smash? That's generally my strategy when i lose. I can tell you with 100% certainty that roll spammers aren't difficult to punish. The hardest matches i have are against people who don't do this, because I've gotten into the bad habit of expecting it.

Rolling does get annoying...till I realized that 80% of players on FG mindlessly roll every where,it's gotten to the point where I can charged a smash anywhere on stage and they roll right into it.
