How do I go about adding custom skins but not having to replace a skin?

Is there a way to only get just a couple extra skin slots? (i.e. I find a 1 skin I like for Snake, I can just add that specific one in order to not have to over ride a skin?) Can someone help me/give me a guide on that? Any help is appreciated
