I starting to get back into super smash bros after a 4-year hiatus. I am planning to start playing again when Super Smash Brothers for Wii U comes out and also get into competitive, any tips ?

-Watch how play and learn. Try to reproduce what you see.
-Find some friends and pratice with them.
-Find your main.
-Find the controller you fit with.

I am going to my first tournament this weekend. so far i have been smashing with my friends allot and i have a few great training partners. My main problem is i don't have a main. I have maybe 3 to 4 characters i am really good with and 7 that i rotate through (including those 3 or 4). I'm afraid when i go into this tournament i will be changing characters too much. My goal this week is to get some good practice in and really test my characters and pick at least two to only use in the tournament.

Personally I think it's more advantageous to have multiple mains, I use 4 characters all the time and I find that it's helpful when you come across a player who knows how to play against your pick.

Im also stepping into the WiiU pro scene, this will be my very first time so can anyone tell me what to expect besides wicked good players?
