How do I get back default Project: M sound affects and move sets?

So today I messed around on my computer and I added some new characters onto Project M, and I also tried to add some sound affects for the one of the characters as well. (Remind you I did not mess around with any move sets). So I was reading online how to do it, so I downloaded smashbros_sound.brsar and opened up Sawndz and did my thing. After going through the process of basically failing and not knowing really if it worked or not, I moved the smashbros_sound.brsar file in the pf then sound folder. I started up Project M, and what little did you know, I heard no sound effects at all, no difference. So I went back in and deleted the smashbros_sound.brsar file, then I later added some more characters and stuff. That's when I noticed the sound effects, move sets, physics, whatever went back to the normal brawl gameplay. Not sure if it happened right away with the whole brsar file thingy buuuuut this is why i'm coming here, help and guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks! :)

Helpful Info:

Everything in Project M (Including the characters, csp pics and all that good stuff) is working fine except default Project M sound effects, move sets, and voices, which all reverted back to their natural default brawl state.

You can solve most problems by making a backup of your SD card, formatting it (not quick format), and then reloading the backup back onto your SD card. If that doesn't work, you probably broke something else. Also, by adding new characters, do you mean new costumes, or are you using BrawlEX?

Yeah, please specify whether you mean characters or costumes. Characters is a whole different thing, with much more to mess up with.

I found how to change the sfx in PM, but I usually suck at explaining things.

So, all I can say that replacing smashbros_sound.brsar doesn't do anything. Instead you have to(this is what I did) edit the smashbros_sound.brsar using supersawndz and find what sfx you want to replace. You then insert the sfx you have(assuming they are correctly formatted and everything) into the group you want to replace(for example, if you're changing Mario's sfx, so you click on him and insert it) Once you've done that, create a sawnd and name it after the group ID of the sounds that you are replacing (Mario's is 8) and place it in pf/sfx.

Once you've fixed your Project M, you can try this. If I explained it well enough, that should work. If it doesn't, then I can't tell you much more (I am not that good at modding).
