Oh, thank you very much.I would just use BrawlBox. It's simpler than the other methods.
Once your done you can just put them back in the way you extracted them through BrawlBox, just right click and click "Import" and select your files, then save.Oh, thank you very much.
Few more questions.
Once I've finished editing the images, how do I pack it up back into a .pac?
Do you know where I can download the "pf folder"? The one I found has been edited.
But where can I find .pac files that weren't messed with?Once your done you can just put them back in the way you extracted them through BrawlBox, just right click and click "Import" and select your files, then save.
Just create your own pf folder on your SD card. You don't need a pre-made one.

Oh, nice!
Just use Brawl+ 5.0 and use Gecko 1.9.1 to launch it, it's what I do. If you don't want all of Brawl+, get the Brawl+ .gct, open GCTEdit (you can find it if you use the search bar at the top of the page here), click "Save as Text", open the text file in Notepad or another program that can open .txt files, and remove everything except the File Patch Code 3.5.1 or whatever it's called. Then open GCTEdit back up and open your edited text file and click "Save as GCT". Put that GCT file in the codes folder on your SD card.Oh, nice!
I'd hate to ask so many questions, but how exactly do I set up a txt file to use for code manager on brawl?
I've gotten it to work before with a larger codelist.
It cannot the phantom wings file replacement code in the Brawl+ gct, at least not the one I have.Just use Brawl+ 5.0 and use Gecko 1.9.1 to launch it, it's what I do. Sorry if that doesn't help, I don't use code manager because I heard that way is more efficient, and I also use Brawl+.
It SHOULD be. Just try using the entire Brawl+ GCT and running it through Gecko 1.9.1, and make sure all of your textures are in the right directory. It cannot the phantom wings file replacement code in the Brawl+ gct, at least not the one I have.
Are you sure it's included?
Alright, you've gotten me pretty far on this, thank you.It SHOULD be. Just try using the entire Brawl+ GCT and running it through Gecko 1.9.1, and make sure all of your textures are in the right directory.

The only way to have a transparent texture is if the texture you are using supports transparency in the first place. If the texture does not have any transparency (like Ike's or I think Marth's capes, for example) you cannot add transparency.Anyone know how to make a transparent texture?
And if it does have a transparency, do I just repeat that color over the texture? The only way to have a transparent texture is if the texture you are using supports transparency in the first place. If you have the GIMP or Photoshop you can just use the eraser tool and it will have a transparent background. Or, you can do it the painful way and find the Alpha channel and all this other nonsense. If you don't have Photoshop or the GIMP, get GIMP because it's basically a free Photoshop with a little steeper learning curve. And if it does have a transparency, do I just repeat that color over the texture?
Without hexing? Please share :UOh crap, I've just found a method to get transparency on textures that don't support it. I just booted up my game, and I think it worked. o_O
I'm going to run another test, hold on.Without hexing? Please share :U
Oh man, it doesn't work. ;_;Without hexing? Please share :U
Hm, sounds like something odd. I think this happens if the original file has no transparency, but the texture type Brawl assigns it can handle transparency, so there is conflict, causing some to turn gray and some to turn invisible.Oh man, it doesn't work. ;_;
There's a texture in the Mushroomy Kingdom_00 pack called "M_base_02," and I was certain it didn't support transparency until I found there were little specks of transparency on it.
EDIT: Scratch that! I just "replaced" that certain texture in BrawlBoxes with a large TIF file that had an alpha channel ticked.
EDIT: Some 3-dimensional models will become gray, however the sides of "?" blocks with disappear.
Oh, I understand what happened now. I never actually got rid of it, it just looked like I did because for some reason, the grayed-out model of the background object tricked my mind into thinking it wasn't there. :UHm, sounds like something odd.
