How do I convince my parents to be on board with getting a Nintendo Switch?

I really, really want a Switch. Super Mario Odyssey, free NES games, a new Smash Bros., Dark Souls anywhere...it's beautiful.
The problem being, my parents don't want another $300 gaming system in this house. We already have an Atari 2600, a GameBoy, two Sega Genesi, an Atari Jaguar, a Sega Dreamcast, a Playstation 2, a GameBoy Advance SP, an Xbox 360, a Wii, a Nintendo 3DS, a Wii U, two Kindles, two Android phones, two Android tablets, two iPhones, an iPad, and God knows how many computers and plugnplays.
That, and it does what any decent console besides the Wii U does and takes a bunch of games you've already played and slaps them onto it.
I mention BotW, they point out I already have it on Wii U. I say I want to play it in the car or in bed, they say we get out to get away from the electronics (aka something a true gamer doesn't do). I mention all the ports, they say we already have Dark Souls. I mention Super Mario Odyssey, "So you want us to spend a hundred zillion dollars for one game?"
It goes back and forth, back and forth, back and forth...then I give up. You buy a console for games, not controllers. It's like buying a fridge to stop sweating.

Take up a part time job during the summer holidays and save up for one. Or sell some of the stuff you no longer need.

Either that, or just wait until your birthday if your parents are willing to buy it for you then.

Your parents are doing the right thing not letting you get a switch then. You have a serious problem with video game addiction if this is your attitude about time away from games. If you were my kid and you said this not only would you not get a switch even if you saved up for it, your gaming privileges would be entirely revoked until you found some other things to do with your time. This is a very unhealthy attitude

Get a job ya lazy bum xP

I worked at MickeyDs when I was in high school. It ****ing sucked ass yea lol. But I made over 2 grand in about little over a month. Now if you live in Nevada and wanna make real bank go work in the mines. You'll have no social life, and be shoveling dirt every day for 12 hours shift. But you'll make a **** ton of cash in no time! ;)
