I was just reading SmashGod's Marth matchup tutorial, and he talks about doing this. I have never heard about this. Is it possible?

Haven't seen his guide, but I'm assuming what he meant was buffering jump oos and then performing an aerial.

1. Get hit while in shield.
2. During shieldstun (or whatever term I forgot that's applicable), buffer jump by holding up on the control stick and C-stick.
3. Get used to reacting to when you character buffer jumps so you can use a rising aerial oos. It's easiest to perform using the Z button to aerial, since your thumb would still be on the C-stick.

Buffering the jump out of shieldstun to do an aerial out of shield is pointless, since you can't possibly react to the timing of the jump in order to time your aerial correctly (unless you have a reaction time of less than 4 frames, minus input/output lag).

The timing of the aerial is fixed relative to the jump. If you buffer the jump, then you have to manually adjust the timing your inputs for the aerial (because the timing of the jump varies unreactably); if you manually time the jump, then you don't have to adjust the timing of the aerial (because you know the timing of the jump). Either way you have to manually adjust the timing of one of the two inputs.
