how do I beat sonic

At the last PM tourney I went to I got 4 stocked by a sonic and I want to know what I should look for in the match up

At the last PM tourney I went to I got 4 stocked by a sonic and I want to know what I should look for in the match up

Well, the thing about sonic is, he has no real propriety. Try to put out a fair when he comes in at you an that should shut down his approaches. A well timed dtilt should be able to do work as well. I'm rather new to the character so I can't give to much input.

I found that f-tilt is a good way to stop his spin dash if he rushes at you. Be prepared to put it out as soon as you hear him release his spin dash. Once the sonic I fought caught on to this he changed up his timing and used spin dash to approach less as well. Be sure not to throw out all 3 ftilts before he dashes at you otherwise you become open. I found that f-smash at the edge caught him often when he tried to sweetspot the edge from below. Be wary that he can throw out an aerial as he's rising, I got caught once by being too close to the edge by his bair. so space the fsmash appropriately.
