How do I beat Doc?

I need some help in the Doc matchup. When I play Doc I get zoned out very easily by camping with pills which I know shouldn't work that well against Fox. I also have trouble finding combos as he jumps out of a lot of stuff I try. I seem to get crouch cancelled to downsmash in this mu too so I've been trying to put some laser or throw damage on him before I hit him. Lastly, whats the optimal way to edgeguard Doc when he's coming back with a jump throwing pills? Any advice in general for this mu would help a lot thanks

Like you said, you shouldn't really be getting zoned by Doc. Pills are a weak projectile. Don't forget that you have a better projectile, so don't be afraid to back off and spam lasers from a safe distance. You can also use your shine to reflect a pill, maybe that will surprise the Doc.

It sounds like you mostly just need work on your fox, rather than the Doc MU. Work on your hand speed so that you can attack with faster combos. Multi-shining should help along with SHFFLing and grabs. Use nair or bair to approach and use some retreating nairs/bairs to bait the opponent.

To edge guard Doc just wavedash to grab edge before Doc gets there. If you need to then let go of the edge and do a bair or a shine to push him back. You should be able to get some shine spikes.
