I play alot of for glory with pit and for some strange reason I go up against a lot of Cpt. Falcons, pink to be specific.
I in general don't do well against Falcon so if someone could tell me how to properly deal with him that would be appreciated but the main reason I don't do well is because I always get spiked, I mean like half the time I die from a spike against Falcon.
So yeah, if anyone knows how to deal with that, please help.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

I've tried air dodging in lag, that's impossible but I'll try recovering high, thanks!
When tips are given in the competitive discussion it is usually in a scenario with no lag, unless the user says "in lag..."

Pink Captain Falcons in particular are quite a pain, I guess.

Since Pit can "flap" (jump multiple times in air), let Captain Falcon approach you and try a spike. When he does, "flap" away from it, and either strike or recover. Of course, this isn't always an option, so try to recover when he is going for a spike (already in air). Otherwise, he'll see you're trying to recover, and predict where you will land.

Unfortunately, Falcon's spike is just hard to avoid in general. Lots of people have issues with it, including me, so we're on the same boat.

Tip: Captain Falcon's up-tilt can Meteor Smash when you are attempting to reach a ledge. Try it out!

Given that Pit has many short hops, a recovery with no hitbox, and a Side B that leaves him helpless after (I feel bad for Pit and Little Mac mains for this) I can see why you might be having some trouble. Also too bad his down B is on a horizontal plane for this instance as well.

It sounds llike your recovery is too predictable and rather than try and give a definitive answer to a situational problem my best advice would be to play as Cpt falcon for a while. Try and get those spikes yourself and find out first hand what makes it easy, what makes it difficult. Your biggest concern is with Pit which might be diffucult to get that match up unless you have friends to play and practice against so even against a cpu Pit at different levels of difficulty might help give you some insight.

Some general tips: Arrows should come in handy especially since you can curve them. (More so to make him having to worry about shielding or dodging as to lose the opportunity to position himself). Some stages allow you to go underneath as to recover to the opposite ledge. Recovering high comes with its own set of new risks but your recovery has alot of distance which could take you to the opposing ledge from above. Try to find a few ways so your not doing it the same way everytime.

Pink Falcon's meteor hitboxes are actually larger than any other Falcon's. Kidding.

Falcon needs you to recover pretty low, as folks said, to hit that dair spike (unless he styles on you with a wall jump, but that's rare in FG). For the utilt you've gotta pop your head up a bit or jump right in front of him as he's standing at the ledge. Avoid doing both of these and air dodge conservatively and you should be making it back more often.

In all honest tho, Pit having multiple jumps and a great recovery make it so you can just fly PAST the captain and gimp him if he tries to spike you.
