How can I raise awareness about a tournament?

I'm trying to get a tournament together, but am skeptical of wheter or not enough people would show up to make it worth while. So basically I wanna know any tips that can help raise awareness of the tournent and increase the smash community.

Also if you live in south Florida (Ft. Lauderdale, coconut creek, coral springs, boca raton, pompano, or Deerfield areas) please contact me and we can work together to widen our smash community!
