Houston area, attempting to get back into smash

Hey, I'm Drowzee. You may know me as that weird guy with the long brown hair who kept following around Stef/Pidge at WHOBO events.

Long story short, I've been playing Smash casually and occasionally for ages now but after being properly introduced to the competitive community by my friend Stef I think it's something I'd like to get into. (Though I have literally no idea where to start.)

I've never really focused on one character before, but previous mains throughout the series have included Zelda, Ness/Lucas, (especially Lucas in Brawl) Falco/Wolf, and Lucario. These were all incredibly arbitrary choices however, and I'd be more than willing to switch and/or specialize now.

I WAS planning on waiting until Smash 4 to join this place so that hopefully I could be amongst more beginners, but I've been playing Brawl a lot lately and I figured it's probably best to get a head start on learning the terminology, etc.

I'm 20 years old, I work at Kroger, and I have no idea what I'm doing with my life but I definitely have time to get involved with Smash at the moment.

Since you're interested in getting into competitive Smash, I'll recommend this guide to you. Look over it at your own pace. Hope you enjoy your time here

I was also recently told by a friend about the competitive scene, which has pretty much increased my love for the game by tenfold. I'm new to the forums too, but welcome :D
