Hori Battle Pad and Bidou?

I've been looking into learning Bidou and have a difficult decision to make. It's said that the GC controller version of Bidou is okay, but is limited compared to the Wii U Pro controller. I'd move to the Wii U Pro controller but it's SO different that my hands get really confused.

So then I remembered the Hori Battle Pad. It's read by the game as a Wii U Pro controller, and is basically a GC controller with the extra trigger on the left, giving it the same potential as the Wii U Pro controller.

Based on the many reviews I could find on the Hori Battle Pad, the only real cons are the left Analog stick being sensitive (Though it's the same sensitivity as the Wii U Pro controller), and the lack of rumble making it a little lighter than the GC controller.

My question is, Is there anyone out there that has tried learning Bidou with the Hori Battle Pad? What are your thoughts/experiences using it?

I recommend it. The left stick is a little loose; You'll find that it auto-inputs your PP to the primary direction initiated so that you always come out of PP facing the direction traveled. Not to say that you cannot exit PP facing the opposite direction, you simply need to end crouching, shielding, or any other input be it an attack. There is no way I could perform Bidou consistently with a standard GCC. This controller really leads me to believe that pivoting was a known mechanic at initial development. It is built to Bidou.
