Homebrew version problems

I recently decided to get back into Project M with the newest update. I used the installer to install 3.0 on to an 8 GB SD Card, loaded it up on Gecko thru Homebrew and started the game. At the character select screen I noticed there's no Roy or Mewtwo as characters. On top of that as soon as I load into a game after the countdown the game just freezes and crashes. I even tried installing the zip from the advanced users downloads and it still won't work, I'm unable to use the hackless method mostly because I don't have an SD card less than or equal to 2GB. Thanks!

Oh thanks was not aware the homebrew method required 2gigs or less as well. I used the Riivolution method in the past, I'll try this out and see if it works.
