Homebrew PM Takes a Long Time to Load

For all the PM 3.0+ versions, it has been taking my Wii a long time to go from the PM loader to the game, and sometimes the Wii just resets and goes to the Wii Menu instead of loading the game. The game itself is completely functional. Is this normal?

lower quality sd cards can take longer, sometimes. try defragging the sd card
