My best is 2586.9 at the moment, and I know I've seen some videos in the 3000s. Would love to check out any HRCs and the characters used.

Why did that go so far?! Does tipper reverse punch matter that much? I have a sequence I've used to end up reverse punching it to 207% and only got 7200 ft

Edit: Just tried this strat and got 8654.8 ft, I guess tipper reverse warlock punch does matter? idk

I still dont understand how it went that far. I was just at work trying to beat my friends record he set at 8800 and next thing you know I get 21000. Does anyone know what the highest record is?

I´m sorry but how the **** did you do that?! I just did the exact same strat and ended up with 2.600 meters / 8500 ft.

Maybe there is a special tiny hitbox...but honestly I doubt it...wtf

Lol that better not be meters unless it's a record for Ganondorf (2500m=8202.1ft).
Also, general rule of thumb I think is to make sure you throw the bat at the sandbag whenever you get the chance (don't do it the entire time though. Mix it up). That's how I've gotten past 3000ft/900m with most characters.

Yeah, I thought that sounded supsicious when I typed it. I assume the NA version changes meters to feet?
I try to throw the bat in to let it absorb the hitstun, but my mixup game definitely isn't as good as all of yours.

Practice, practice, practice. First time I went up to bat, I barely made over 1500ft. And yeah, MURICA uses feet instead of meters.

Nice Ganon score over there! Didn't know the RWP tipper manages to get it so far... This is my current strat:

I should try to tipper the final part and see what happens

You can break 10,000ft in this game? My best is 2027.8m (6652ft) and just that was horribly difficult for me to get. Looks like I gotta work on my score, dang

I do the exact same strat as you with the same damage, and the bag goes 100m further, I don't really know why or how, but the RWP seems to have a special hitbox.

Hmmm. My 3100ft+ (1000m+) scores are staring not to look that great. I always try to end it with at least 150% damage or better, and some of these videos are getting over 200%. TEACH ME YOUR WAYS, OH WISE ONES.

Over 200% is really hard, except for Olimar, even with Ganondorf we're at 187% for 3500m+
I find it easier with characters who have a spike, like DHD, WFT, Diddy, DK, ...
A basic strat is BTF / Any aerial that brings the bag near the ledge / BTD x 3 / then BTD -> spike as much as possible. 1200m+ in general :)

Olimar gets 200%+? I've never tried with him because I figured it would be terrible.

The super far Ganondorf hit isn't a special hitbox, but a bug involving funky physics involving hitting the bag when it's off the platform. Here it is with a more technically challenging strat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJfYnAQVDkA

Fixed in a patch, apparently.

There does seem to be a weird hitbox with RWP, though. My 219% after punch only gets 9877.2 ft while this guy's 216% after gets 9998.4 ft: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3BYjqcFMr8#t=46

I'm not sure it's the tip either. At least with grounded RWP, tipper actually does less knockback. Does anyone know the mechanic for sure?

Edit: Might even be a difference between versions? Do you guys ever get a different distance for the same strat with RWP? I never have.

Edit2: Ugh, I guess it's because I always buffer my RWP. Please don't be the reason; I was always so bad at the last hit in Melee...
