If you chain grab as much as I do, you get into this habit pretty fast. Just practice chaingrabbing, and doing "reverse" Utilts ( which basicaclly a pivot Utilts ).

Now short hop bair to a fair is hard. Is it even possible?!

Why would you pivot an uptilt while chaingrabbing..that doesn't make sense you don't need to pivot at all...You might need to pivot a grab but why an uptilt? It is already increably hard to do it without upsmashing anyways.

Also no thats not possible and even if it was it wouldn't make sense because the bair would send them so that the fair wouldn't hit...

Oh snap... my bad, I got thought pivothing was sometihng different (just looked it up).

Pivoting an Uptilt can help you start a combo when you are being chased. It's like dash-dancing... BLAH! Insta combo started.

And I thought I saw Ken do it in a combo video. I don't know what it was called, but it was during a chaingrab. He like shffl'd Uair, Short hop Bair to an Fair, then tipper Fsmash. It was pretty sweet. :)

Not to sound ignorant, but I usually don't bother trying to learn how to pivot. Something like that varies in difficulty for each character (because the standing height vs. dashing height is different), and since I play with multiple characters, something like pivoting won't come natural, unlike l-canceling, shffl'ing, and (in Marth's case) FAir -> UAir (in the same short-hop) -> UTilt.

I will agree, however, that pivoting an FSmash is very useful in certain situations.
