I just got to listen to Hofstadter, author of pulitizer prize winner novel "Godel, Escher, Bach" give a lecture in person. Afterwards, a group of 10 or so went and ate at Waffle House with him. To those who haven't read GEB, do so.

He gave his second lecture tonight. At one point he compared free will to potato chips. He used this to argue that free will does not exist. It was lulz and awesome.
