Hmm, in regards to those worried about unlockables being spoiled...

The silhouettes from the new challenger approaching screen are dead giveaways.

If Sakurai was to reveal every character, and not specify which were starters or unlockables, why does it matter? It dosen't ruin the surprise, the surprise is ruined by the silhouette.

You are going to know eventually, and if the thoughts of knowing all the characters before the game comes out bugs you, why bother looking at the site? You should know that Sakurai is going to spoil some of the game to cater to the majority of people wanting to see certain things.

It is common sense really. Anyway, I bring this up because a friend of mine keeps *****ing about it in particular, and I see it from a handful of users here.

Seriously guys, it's not that big of a deal. He ain't spoiling the story, he is just showing you who is in before the game comes out.

If you ask me though? There will probably be 4-5 he will hold out on until the game release, as they will truly be the characters that are probably obscure and/or unexpected.

So really, don't fret about it.

Agreed, and honestly, i feel as surprised looking at them on the site as i would be if i saw them in the game for the first time. The only different being that i get to see them ahead of time, which doesn't ruin it one bit.

well it does make it so you cant tell unless you scroll down...
Not true. For my monitor, the warning box is too short. I see every single newcomer update before I even see the warning box (thanks to that nice, bright, attention grabbing red bar on the lower half of my screen, highlighting the name).

I just wish Sakurai would warn use when a character is an unlockable one (no, I refuse to believe all the characters that have the "Warning!" box are unlockable. I think they just mean they're a character we have not seen before the official update).

I want to go to the site and get spoiled on the stages and items and such, just not the secret characters. And I think that's reasonable.

Also, it's not like Sakurai is telling us HOW to unlock the characters... a lot of people aren't taking that into account.
So? That's not what I care about. All the fun in the unlockable characters is not knowing who they are. If I know who they are and I just don't know how to unlock them, then that's just more frustrating because then there'd be a character in the game that I want to play as that I wouldn't know how to get.

Who cares? It's a fighting game. I'd rather him just give me all the characters already unlocked so I can go straight into a melee and start getting better with the character against humans. I looked up how to unlock all of the characters in melee so I could get them all as fast as possible.

Yeah... For me, I don't really think finding out who's going to be in it is spoiling my experience... However, I do think that finding out storyline info will ruin the story more for me, so i simply avoid information that's too in depth about the storyline...
