Hello! I'm awful at introductions, so bare with me. My name is SlothFacts! I've been playing Super Smash Bros. since 64 first came out, but I wasn't even aware of the competitive community until Melee had been out for a while, and I'm only now making an effort to learn to play the series at a level beyond "press buttons, try to hit opponent." Project M is mostly to blame for my sudden interest in learning the game. It looks pretty fun, and really well put-together! And I wanted to at least try a game made by-and-for the competitive Smash community. The other major factor is that people seem to netplay Smash more now. I go to fighting game tournaments, and Smash has been showing up at them a lot more frequently lately, but, like, I'm still just dipping my toes in the pool that is competitive Smash. So the opportunity to try the game against people who play the game well from the comfort of my own home is nice!
So I decided to join SmashBoards and try to find some online matches! My computer's not exactly powerful, so outside of playing Project M via the new Wiimfi servers, I think I'm only really able to netplay 64. Right now, I'm mostly experimenting with Zero Suit Samus, Link and Marth in Project M. I'm pretty sure I want to main at least one of the three, but it's hard to decide having not really played humans in the game yet.
