Higher Precent makes you climb slower from the ledge.

I'm not sure if anybody notice this but. Go from 0 - 50 - 100 - 150 percent and tell me if you can see the differences in the climbing speed. I just noticed this recently on vacation since I'm playing with a CRT and I know this isn't a effect of the CRT but the climb speeds are slower.

Above 100%, every character takes longer and does different animations for every climb up option from the ledge.

What he said (except it's 100% or above :p lol).

This is well-known. When it comes down to it, though, since this doesn't affect your edge-hop, it does almost nothing to most characters (basically punishes tech flubs harder - though there are some characters that actually have good edge options while they are below 100%).

This is a really important mechanic for quite a few characters. Bowser does suck, but his ledge attack below 100% is extremely strong for example. Over 100% it's much worse.
