This was my very first dance competition so I was kinda nervous when I went up. I've only been dancing since around late November or early December of last year, which was like 6 or 7 months ago. I'm just posting my video and the other contestants videos to see what everyone thinks. Please go easy with the criticism

Here's the video of me, I didn't know I was suppose to bring my own music so I told the DJ to simply play a song I could break to, but I didn't particularly like the song I was given and couldn't really feel the music. Also the song ended earlier than I thought:

This vid is of my friend Jeremy who I break with occasionally, he got second place. I should have borrowed his iPod and got a track off of it so I could've had a song I liked:

This one is of Richard who one the whole competition. I break with him also, but I don't really know him like that:

Here's a video of a B-Girl who was at the comp. I never met her before the comp so I don't have much to say:

I'm not even sure what she was doing:

He filmed all these dances and also participated in the comp with a broken ankle, so I have to give him props for that:

I don't know either of these people so I don't have much to say, and their both krumpers and I'm not particularly fond of that dance style(although I do think the guy in the second vid was sick):

Some of the people in those vid were alright still. I do dance iswell but I do mostly hip-hop and krump with a group.
Your breakdance was quite good.
The first krump needed to be WAYYY more agressive in his dance style since thats what krumpin is mostly about, his moves were alright do but he just needed to be more amped.
The second one was alright but his moves were too similar, but he had the krump attitude but he needed to be a bit more aggressive imo anyway, but it was all good and entertain :).
You should search for the person who made up krump called Tight Eyez, he is the best krumper.

What's with the enormous woman standing in the middle of all of the vids? And why don't you have a vid of her breakdancing?

Well I don't know much about krumpin, so I can't say what constitutes as good and bad. As for the enormous woman, thats just a teacher at my school, she was simply in the audience.

She wasn't in the audience, she was all over the audience.

Nice! Breakers on smashboards!

Your footwork looked pretty solid! Toprock was difficult to judge because the beat of the song was way too slow. It just wasn't good breaking music. You look like you almost have swipes down, those are nice.

Good work for your first time competing!

Edit: The last two guys didn't really look like they were krumping. There were a few krumping moves in there, but it was mostly just waves and hits. They looked more like poppers than krumpers.

Well, it was kinda hard to hit my toprock to such a slow beat, and I avoided doing power moves in general so I wouldn't mess up. I didn't want my first comp to be an embarrassment with me screwing up a flare. As for the krumpers, well I don't really no much about the dance style so I can't comment.

But it seems you asked the wrong person to play a song to break to. :/
