KillerRoy
Smash Rookie
Hey everyone, after reading threads and posts about all things Smash related here, I've finally decided to register an account on the forum!
I'm a long-time smash player, since the N64, to Project M. I've been playing on and off casually with friends for fun without taking anything too seriously. I used to be on the SSBM GFaqs board under the same account name, mostly lurking and yet again, just enjoying myself.
Some time ago, I read here that there was a SSB documentary that came out on YouTube and I went to check it out. I got hooked on what would eventually drive me to start reading more and more about advanced techniques and competitive play. I also started to watch some tournament matches of pro players that I know some of them post here as well and I must say that they are very inspiring players!
As I was saying, my main objective with Smash was always to have fun with friends as I loved the franchise since the beginning. Nowadays, I spend some times trying to learn new techniques and improving myself to hopefully reach another level of play. I know it may take a while but whenever I get the chance I try to play with people and learn to react accordingly to the situation while trying to insert the techniques I hear so much about. I main Roy in SSBM and P:M and since I'm more comfortable with it I use that character to practice them (I know Roy is not a top tier character, but I've seen M2K and Sethlon do nifty things while using it).
I'm sure I'll have a great time here even though I'll usually lurk more than I post, but at least I put a feet in the room by registering and creating this thread!
See you all around the board!
