Hey everybody! It was reccomended I make an introductory thread, so here it goes.
I didn't really start with Smash until Brawl, but I remember playing Melee a few times at friends houses as a little kid. It was such a different game, nothing like anything I had ever played back then and certainly nothing has stacked up to it in terms of pick-up fun and playability with friends. There's truly nothing like Smash in the rest of the world.
I mained Metaknight during Brawl, when a friend and I would stay up until 3 am playing no items except Final Smash. Meta knight was a little too OP so sometimes I'd play Link too.
I joined Smashboards to get better at Smash; I recently got back into Nintendo after not playing anything but PC for 3 years. I bought a 3DS at the reccomendation of my friends and after playing FE: Awakening. It blew me away: the games make the system! Once Sm4sh 3DS comes out, it'll occupy all my bus time for local, and when I get home after sports I'm looking forward to playing you all online - smash on!

As for Sm4sh 3DS, I'm need to go ahead and clear out my friends list so I can be ready to add new people.
