Smash Rookie
My name is Matt! My first time here! I thought about joining the boards a long while back, and now i'm here. I joined the boards because I am looking to make friends to play Smash 4 with. SSB64 was the start of a very intimate relationship.
I used to play Melee all the time during my teen years, occasionally joining a local tourney, or kickin' it with my best buds. In Melee I main Capt Falcon, then follows Samus and Mewtwo. My favorite time during Melee was when I first learned to Wave-dash. School Music room had an awesome projector screen we'd all hook up to. Those were the glory days...
When Brawl came out I was excited. And to be honest I really enjoyed Subspace Emissary, mostly because of coop. Brawl wasn't that bad, but I felt they spent way too much time on buffing the hell out of the newcomers. Brawl Plus/Minus/PM prooved to be the first true testimony towards the community having the ability to mod, and correct all the flaws that came with the lost time Masahiro Sakurai spent taking a dump. The worst thing was having an outdated wii with a bad lens that couldn't read dual-layer. And that's what made Brawl bad for me. My main man was Wario, then C Falcon/Samus.
And now, I am really enjoying Smash 4 on 3DS. I'm hearing much controversy, but I can't hate it. IMHO Smash 4 is my second favorite smash title. I just purchased all the dlc, and I am very happy with it. Just waiting on more stages. Its a bit hard to shffl with the circle pad and feels a little clunky, but I am getting used to it. And I am looking forward to meeting new people, and learning new strats! Hope to see you all!
