Hey Guys,
So I have been playing Smash for more than a decade, but my good pal here at college opened me up to the competitive scene. I have always loved the game, but now I am so competitive that I have got to get better, at least to beat the snotballs at this university, and maybe attend some local tourneys. I've been watching all the VODS, doing all I can whilst studying Mechanical Engineering, and am just now starting to play seriously.
Outside of Smash, I used to be a World of Warcraft hardcore raider playing with top 10 teammates and players from guilds such as Exodus, Nihilum, and Death and Taxes. Nowadays I only raid twice a week, but still play to the max that game, and even just ranked top 20 for progression raiding content out of all the Holy Priests in the world last month (oh ****, that probably didn't make any sense to you). I also League of Legends a bit with my friends because they're huge in it, but I get NaCl when I play sometimes, and am a Bronzie newb ass player.
In Smash, I used to main kirby. Easy kit, floats (to a noob playing with noobs it was OP, okay?), versatile base A-button DMG. Now, I got so frustrated by losing to all my good friends that I said "I am going to main Game and Watch, you're gonna laugh, and then I'm going to start beating you with Game and Watch, and you'll be embarrased". So now I am flipping bacon, pulling out the 18th hole sign, dropping oil, and burning you with a match on Game and Watch. I still pull out the kirby, hit up Bowser when I am up against a real wuss, and Pit from time to time.
Tournaments? Yessir. I will give you all of my monies to watch them. Being immersed in an environment where everyone else around me likes to nerd out over the game like its a sport (like I have wanted to do my whole LIFE for video games), is too good to pass up.
I like to make videos. Got some parkour videos, WoW videos, a LoL montage, and some other stuffs on my page. Check my cool ass out at www.youtube.com/trickysben
That all being said, I would love to know where to start. What to drill. What to kill. I have been there and back when it comes to video game prep for WoW, and know I can dedicate myself to something until I get it. Hit me up with all the info you want, I'll be reading these boards like a bible as soon as my Finals week is over.
