Apek
Smash Rookie
Hey y'all I'm Apek. I've played smash casually since the release of smash 64 ( with the exception of brawl and PM) - while playing to the best of my ability I've never really had a competitive scene near me; at least that i knew of.
I fell out of playing smash for a few years until a few weeks ago. I'm 23 and recently moved to NC to take a promotion in my career - that being said I haven't met that many people who share the same interests as I do. Hopefully I'll be able to connect with some smash minded folks ;p.
I just picked up a 3DS to play some smash again. Having a great time in for Glory ( yeah its a bit laggy but it'll work for now until I can pick up a WiiU. If anyone is looking to sell one let me know lol) mainly focusing on getting the basics down with Fox and Shiek. I like these characters for the "chip in damage until you can land a devastating kill move" aspect. It's pretty awesome learning everything all over again, a mini sense of wonder haha.
Since moving and before I re fell in love with smash I have been mainly focusing my gaming efforts on Rocket league - raw fun in the form of rocket powered car soccer. I have had decent success and still plan on playing almost every night. That being said, if you haven't at least tried it - you most definitely should. I'm also perusing a degree in computer science starting in the fall(drank my way out of college the first time) and getting better at gfx design.
I haven't attended any tournaments yet but they are definitely in my future.
Well that's me in a nutshell. Can't wait to explore the boards more and learn more than I ever thought possible in smash.
