This is a copy paste of another thread that I put in the developer forum. I should of came first to here but I thought all content from melee/brawl/apps were there. Turned out that it is mostly apps and stuff like that.
I want you guys to check this out and tell me what you think of the idea.

What would it take to make an iso /or make dolpin capability just for this?

Then after that you can take this idea to twitch and let every smash fight with the pros be with this type of camera allowing all people to see the game from every angle anyway the person wants it.
Then if we add a spectator mode to dolphin we can have the same controls

What if we had another kind of twitch video where the spectator controls one video and then there is another screen free for the user to control https://youtu.be/I0cQ00cBuw0

I have no idea how you can implement this but this can be revolutionary to the viewership of material in this sense

I think this is a lot more possible than you might think.

As for free control of the camera, it's definitely possible and has been done. In addition to that @Dan Salvato has gotten replays to work on an unmodded GC, and though I don't know the current state of moving a replay from a Cube to Dolphin, it definitely seems like that would be possible at some point, and then you could just download replay files like you can for SC2.

I've had an idea similar to this where a "spectator mode" can be used where spectators can see the game play in fixed camera mode. But I figured edgueguards would get cut off unless the image uses wide screen

Dolphin can already do this. Go to graphics > advanced > free view. You can let people spectate via netplay by not assigning controllers to them. Also seen someone getting live info from console, so it should be possible to transfer what's going on at the console to a Dolphin emulator.

I've had an idea similar to this for quite a while where players run the game on a console while the stream gets to watch a HD version recorded of Dolphin (with pretty much any graphics you may want). By making this possible it should also open gates to a lot more possibilities for amazing production quality. (You could make a lot more on streams automatic as well as change where the stocks and other GUI visuals are placed so viewers get a "cleaner" view of what's going on etc)

All of this would surely be a **** ton of work though, and I don't know who wants to work on stuff like this. :p
