So i have a theory on how edge guarding and comboing is gong to work in smash 4. I'd like to make a couple brawl mods so I can demonstrate my theory:

1. No air dodging or attacking out of hit stun

2. 20 frames of Landing lag from air dodging

3. You have to land on the stage after grabbing the ledge or you won't get invincibility when re grabbing it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Saw this on Reddit. Sorry I can't help, but I guess maybe something else to chalk up there is a bit faster falling and/or fast-falling speeds? Anyways, hope people can help you out and make this work. If you can't find anyone though, I hope you at least post your thoughts somewhere even if you can't demonstrate with the mod. I'd love to hear what you have to say. Best of luck!

For what it's worth the special brawl high gravity mode seems to somewhat simulate smash 4's current knockback heights, but you should test it out yourself and see. I also think you should implement shielding out of any start frame of dash and reduced lag from shield dropping. Good luck testing your theory.

This will probably take more time to get working than it's worth. You'll also want the ability to kick people off of ledges, and remove gliding and non-zair tether recoveries.

I know it's possible to get this all done, but I think playing Brawl will get you just as prepared for Smash 4 than anything with much less of a time investment.

I'm only interested in these 3 specific codes so I can talk about the ledge. Stealing the ledge isn't important for what I'm trying to explain. These codes aren't for public use either so adding extra ideas aren't really necessary

I think our best bet would be to just wait for Smash4 and work off stuff from there instead of trying to imitate it and try to understand something that could change (slightly) before the game actually comes out.

GimR there's somebody making this thing called "Project Smash 4", where they try to replicate Smash 4 except with a couple more characters. Here's the website just in case you need to message them:
