Hey there, folks! Lemme introduce myself. I'm a passionate gamer, design student and proud Nintendo fanboy, and I really want to break into the Smash competitive scene. Specifically I used to play Brawl back in the good old days with friends once in a while, but I really picked up the series when Smash 4 came out on the 3DS. Since then, I've been playing casually with friends, the occasional time at my school's Smash Club, but only a few months ago did I want to really git gud and start playing competitively.
I've been to one tournament so far, the Bottom Tier Battle in Toronto, where I played Smash Wii U. I placed last after my first match (with my friend I went with, funny enough) was a close loss and I was totally off my game in my next one in the losers bracket.
I placed last in that tourney (behind about 15 no-show DQers for whatever reason) but I had a lot of fun and even got to commentate on the stream for a bit. It was my first time commentating and I had no idea what I was doing, but it was awesome. That experience only served to push me forward in my adventure to be the very best, like no one ever was.
To those who stuck around and read this post, thanks a lot! I'm looking forward to being a part of this awesome community.
Cheers!
