This is what I see. Both of you have understanding of shffl and techs and all that ok so I'm going to try to critique your playstyles.

You both can't seem to maintain pressure when playing. It seems alot of times after a missed throw or when someone hits the ground you break apart. Everytime you guys shffl'd you would just try to stay in front of them by either dtilting to a grab or trying another spaced aerial. While this is well and good, you can't ALWAYS do it better players will pick up on that. Marth can shffl fairs or nairs and dash behind or away from their opponent that is shielding before they can grab. This can lead to grabs, or at the least a different position that can throw your opponent offguard.

Other than a few tech chase grabs the tech chasing skill in these matches was practically nonexistant. You both tech well but seem to not expect the other person to actually tech when they can. You have time to hit them if they don't tech opposed to if they do tech. Try to pay attention and punish tech chases better.

The DI sometimes was bad, fthrows should be DI'd away even at the edges. If you were playing me and DI'd toward me at the edge after a Fthrow I would have just short hopped a dair. You guys both should start taking advantage of doing a fast F-throw to Fsmash until you both learn to always DI that throw away. Then you can mix upthrows such as upthrow to aerial combos or dthrow to F-smash.

The edgegaurding was off an on as well. Low percents you can crouch cancel the upB and dtilt as another option. If they are coming from above and have their double jump you should try to bait them to double jump prematurely occasionally not just jump out and try to hit them. I felt you guys recovered way more than you should have. And when your on the ledge you should learn to ledgehop aerials (not just ledgehop dair recoveries) and ledgehop wavelands as other options of recovering on the edge.

All of this just really boils down to the fact that while you now advanced tactics such as shffling, wavedashing, etc. it just seems to predictable when you watch it on tape. I hope you can see what I mean. You guys need to work on now being less predictable and better at punishing each others mistakes.

I hope the critique wasn't too harsh, I'm just happy I didn't have to talk about working on shffl, l-canceling, teching, stop rolling, etc. Trying to critique playing styles is much harder to not be obvious about.

I'm too lazy to write an essay, just move fast, dairs, dtilts, cgs, use counter only against an aggressive player or if ur marth is getting comboed, reverse upb's r ur best ender.
