Have you ever played HeroScape? If not, I suggest watching this playlist of videos on how to play offline before continuing: How To Play Basic RPG HeroScape.
This RPG Will run similarly except we will have a few changes:
1. You only play as one character.
2. I will make multiple coin flips for both Attack and Defense Dice.
3. We will introduce a map, the scenario, and characters to play as.
4. Calling attacks, Moving, along with other things, will be very strange. Here's how it will work: When we introduce the Map and Scenario, we will label each space. When you move/attack/etc. You will list the order of space you'd like to move to. Here is an example:
If this looks Greek to you, let me clarify: Deathwalker 9000 (The Character in the Example, by the way) is on A1, and is facing toward A7 and A4.
During my turn, I will move from A1 to A5, but I must say whether I will be moving to A5 by A6, A7, or go around these and go to A2, A3, and A4.
So I will say: Move from A5 to A2, A3, A4, A5.
For attacking, you pick the space your opponent is on. During a player's turn, spaces enemies that cannot be attacked (No matter where you move) are on will be colored Red, Spaces teammates are on will be Colored Blue, spaces with enemies you can attack (where you are) are on will be colored Green (Or Orange if they cannot be attacked if you move), and enemies you can attack if you move to a different space (Said spaces will be colored either Pink or Purple) are on will be Yellow. Range and movement will factor if you can hit enemies or not.
If this is too confusing for you, you probably shouldn't sign up.
I will show the first map and it's scenario in my next post (only if people join by then), along with answering questions made by people.
