Easier perfect shielding. The ability to block at the right time and throw your opponent off balance is pretty cool, but in melee its way too hard. Usable, yet balanced perfect sheilding could add depth to gameplay for novices, experts, and everything in between.

I suppose that they could widen the execution time by a few frames. But any more than two or three frames would make it way too easy to pull off. I agree that it may work out if they somehow managed to balance it, but when you consider all the stuff that could go wrong, and all the people that would find a way abuse it, it may just be better for them to keep it the way it is. Practically un-abusable, and extremely hard to pull off.

I think he means that big transparent shielding... I dont think it has anything to do with when you press it but how hard you press the shield button.. or something. If you do a grab with z and then hold down the z button youll notice that you have a bigger more transparent shield around you.

I could be wrong though, anyway I dont see that shield being used in pro videos so it probably doesnt matter anyhow.

As for the thread topic, yeah it could definatly be cool for spacing purposes, perfect shield to fsmash or whatever.

That shield is hard to pull off for a reason. It doesn'twear down the other shields at all and you take no damage. I think you get pushed back sometimes but that's the most that happens. Like Kada said, it shouldn't get more than a 3-4 frame window.

No he means powersheilding, the one that reflects projectiles and doesn't wear down your regular sheild.

Cool, I was right. =D I don't really get power shielding...are there any videos about power shielding? I could use the search button, but where's the fun in that?

I say make it two frames. That would be a noticeble difference, but wouldn't be game-breaking.

If you hold the Z-button, you get a light shield. The best powershielders are comps. Try shooting them with Samus to see just how consistent they are at power shielding. Powershields don't show up either, so if something blows up over the powershield it takes the shape of the shield but they shield won't be visible or it won't wear down.
