I am a good luigi user but one thing I have lots of trouble with is his cyclone. I tap b many times, but I rise only a tiny bit. I use nunchuck and wii remote. I don't have a gamecube controller. Please tell me how to do that recovery trick!

Jump first, and use the cyclone right before you reach the apex of his jump.

Also, if it is at ALL POSSIBLE, get a gamecube controller. The controlls for the Wiimote are clunky and don't suit well to a fighting game.

Yes, you can. The tornado is affected by momentum. So do the tornado as you are rising and it helps for me if I press up on the joystick while mashing B. You can do it even twice, but mostly you will use the midair tornado.

Well you might be able to go point by point regarding disadvantages/advantages per controller...but most peeps just find the Wiimote/nunchuk just too unorthodox. I personally would rather use an arcade joystick to play Brawl...but you can see the disadvantages xD.

you can also try the classic controller, the grab and jump buttons have more sensibility and its actually quite comfortable i play with a classic since my gc screwed up and i like it
