Apologies if this is the wrong section/stupid questions
I have homebrew/gecko/2 gb sd card/ code manager and I'm trying this on standard brawl.
I can only get character textures to work sometimes, and stage textures not at all.
I've been following this step by step (and to no avail on stages) http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=262863
I've tried a variety of different things, but I need clarification. First question: If I download a texture and its not already in .pcs format, do I have to rename it to .pcs or convert it somehow? I've tried renaming to .pcs already as well as leaving the file as is, but neither has worked. I have gotten some character textures to work, though, so I know I'm doing some things right. They generally only seem to work when the file is already in .pcs format.
When I tried to get stage textures to work, I made a folder called "stage" within "pf" and then another folder named "melee" within "stage". If I tried a new FD texture, for example, I would name it stgfinal.pcs and put it within "melee". So, to clarify, within the folder "pf", I have both "fighter" and "stage".
Also, for stage textures, am I right in that I should look through the downloaded folder, find the stage texture file, and move that file to within "melee"?
