Help with project M online

Im following the guide on facebook titled "HOW TO PLAY PROJECT M AFTER WiFi SHUTDOWN".
I cant post the link because I cant post a link with under 10 posts.
Whenever I open up the homebrew channel and open up the wiimmfi patcher, brawl opens as expected. From there I can play brawl online (it connects), but when I open up project m via the map editor, the online there does not work and it says wifi has been discontinued.
I did everything by the steps, but I did it kinda sloppily so im probably missing something.

Help me plz

EDIT: I reset my SD card and put the wifi version and autowiimmfi patcher on my SD card, and those are the only files currently on it. Also, I used letterbomb for version 4.3U, but Iim not sure if thats my version. Where do I check it?

The Wiimmfi patcher only patches it for that gameplay session. Booting into Project M thereafter is technically another gameplay session, therefore the patch is no longer active.

If you scroll further down through that thread (closer to the bottom of the OP) there are two sections on getting Project M online.

edit: never mind that, I was looking at the wrong thread xP there's a modified GCT file somewhere for connecting PM to wifi, I'll see if I can dig it up.

edit 2: here you go. Put this in your /codes/ folder, and run PM through your launcher of choice.

Thanks! I can't try it out right now because I have school in the morning, but ill give you an update after.

EDIT: Great success! but I cant find anyone on basic versus. I remember tuning in to Coney's stream and seeing him use some program to find opponents. Is this what everyone else does? Or should I wait for an opponent on basic versus under "with anyone" even longer

"With Anyone" isn't compatible with Project M, because there's a possibility of getting matched with someone playing standard Brawl, which would cause the games to desync immediately. Unfortunately this is beyond the PM dev team's control, so they advise against using "with anyone".
There's a thread here for exchanging friend codes with other players, that's what I normally use when I want to play online.
