Help with Mayflash GC adapter on Dolphin?

So I'm trying to connect my GC adapter to Dolphin to play Project M, but how in the world do you set the adapter to Wii U mode? I've heard you could do it, but no one I could find says how.

Make sure the slider switch on the back of the adapter is set to "Wii U". That should allow it to work with Dolphin's native support.
