Help with Marth's L-cancel

Sorry in advance if this should go in Emblem Loards "Q and A" thread. I am new after all. If so just say the word. Anyways i play mainly falco, fox, and marth. I L-cancel with falco regularly. It's pretty much essential to my strategy. However, with marth, it seems he falls too slowly and the timing of the L-cancel is WAY slower and hard to execute (even while fast falling). With L-canceling i should be able to chain f-airs together and combo MUCH better. Please help with tips on how you learned to L-cancel with marth and account for his slow landing times. Thanks

Sorry i forgot one thing.... Is there a chance that learning to L-cancel with marth will affect or hinder my ability to L-cancel with other character? Thats another concern of mine.

I'm sorry but it really pisses me off to see topics on l-canceling.

YOU PRACTICE. thats it, nothing else will help you get it.

And no, not usually does it effect timing with others, I play marth, sheik and ganon competitively and they l cancel with each other fine.

*claps* Oh goodie this is going to a wicked awesome night.. what?

Oh and for a little help stek just try seeing the landing spot for you aerials and holding back a little on the L-cancel. Remember you have seven frames of error time i believe and so you don't need to be frame perfect. Training mode is a god send, and learn to L-cancel each move, from there start trying to chain them together eventually especially his f-airs

bah l-cancelling and wavedashing. WHOO CARES

OMG! another lcanceling loser
WHy dont you practice before posting a darn topic. this pisses me off so badly.

Durrrr...if you cant remember the times of each character, then you are mentaly ill.

How the heck is an lcancel hard to execute. my 12 year old sis can do it easily. if not that, lcancelling with marth should be easier as he has higher initial lag frames on his moves

If yoou cant do this, stop playing the game, or start noobing with sheik.

No offence, but topics like these annoy me. P R A C T I C E

tshahi...I think I'm in love...lol

Thank you so much!

but in all seriousness, topics like this shouldn't be made. Many people on each board make topics on "help with wavedashing and l-canceling" and what not..but all you can do is practice those things to get better, no other way.

Guys the only reason i posted this thread is because it seems to me that Marth's L-cancel is very character specific. More so than fast faller's L-cancel like fox, falco, etc. I'm not used to the slow falling rate of the character. Just asking for tips... thats all. I didn't realize it would bother so many people. Well I guess it's time to start practicing. Thanks for the suggestions and help Kevin :)

Its all right dude. I understand why people get mad, but you are new!!! You should go on the Samus boards, only the "Cool" people go there!:cool:
Anyways, just practice the L-cancel with Marth and should be fine! :)

L cancel?

My little shuffling trick is smashing down while pressing L at the same time..... yeah... It works for me so I don't care what anyone else could think.

Practicing L cancels is like learning how to pick up a cottonball with a paddle. Get used to hold whatever and you're good. Sorta. Darn, I hate my analogies.

Falls of chair and breaks lower rib cage.

Oww...

.. I hate teaching people how to L cancel now! It's sorta annoying if you do insist. More than half a million people want to learn how to L cancel and that other stuff and several hundred thousand actually do it.

Yeah..... (Can't anyone see I need medical attention.... cough cough sarcasm cough cough)

More attempts to try and sound smart and failed.

I tried and I'll try again after my ribs cage heals up.

Seriously billions? That means billions of Game Cubes out there too. At least 1 is out of the way.

Arent there only 7 million smash melee titles sold. that equals to about 21 million people who play this game or have played it, so there is bound to be billions of noobs that want to be like us, the L-cancelling smashers
