Help with Laptop and Dazzle

Ok, so I'm at college and neither my roommate nor I were able to bring a television. This would make bringing my Wii useless and therefore would not need to bring it. However, being an avid Brawl player, I found it necessary to bring my Wii with me and additionally find a way around my lack of television dilemma.

So, on woot.com I saw that they were pretty much giving Dazzles away for free ($25 incl. shipping). So, I went a head and bought one knowing that my laptop was pretty powerful (core 2 duo, 4gb ram, lots of hdd space, etc.) and I also had a pretty nice Samsung 22" widescreen computer monitor that I can hook up to my laptop via DVI-to-HDMI. So, I had my "television" situation figured out, and I had already bought the Dazzle to hook up the Wii (composite RCA) to my laptop via USB. My external LCD monitor was now showing everything on my desktop with ease and perfection - all I needed now was to get the Wii to show up on my laptop with the same caliber of smoothness and quality, which would then show on my external LCD.

I skipped installing the software that came with the Dazzle and went straight to the support/download center on the Pinnacle website. I downloaded the latest drivers for the hardware and got Windows Vista Home Premium to recognize it. Great. So far, so good. However, I quickly learned that I had no software to play what was supposed to be coming from the Wii - Windows Media Center, the software that came with the Dazzle {Instant DVD Recorder}, VLC Media Player, Windows Media Player Classic, and countless others all failed to either load what the Wii was transmitting or played it with the worst quality possible (also, very laggy and delayed).

Is there any program out there that's light and will allow me to essentially play my Wii on my laptop? I am less concerned with capturing video from my Wii and am more interested in playing my Wii on my laptop. I've searched the internet pretty much all day and was not able to find a simple solution to my problem. I want to avoid buying more adapters/converters/etc. and would like to try to get this to work. I read that the composite RCA cables are the fastest???

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!!!
