I LOVE playing Ness but find edge guarding pretty difficult. this may have got to do with his limited jumps and pk thunder. anyway i need some help with edge guarding
I really don't like edge guarding with PK thunder and don't truly follow people who do it because its ineffective with multiple air dodges, people can avoid them easily and also the thunder brings the opponent up when they're hit and also they eat up your PK thunder unlike Lucas'. When other Ness players do it to me, it doesn't scare me and i never succumb to mind tricks.
I tend to use PK flash but it's also pretty ineffective unless you've got really good timing, I've improved my timing and direction and its pretty safe. When it hits though, it's the best feeling
The Yoyo hanging over the edge is pretty good i gotta admit and since its more powerful and has K.O potentiality but sometimes fails, especially when they're not near the cliff
Pk Fire so that they burn off stage is alright but i dont see people use it, nor myself, after all, people trying to escape PK fire tend to direct their characters up, which makes the baseball bat hard to hit with, also floatiness makes it hard to hit a particular spot when they're burning.
the one I use is really risky but I'm pretty good at it is down spiking, i even drop down to spike people when they 3/4 down the stage but I've got to be really really ambitious (or angry) or have this gut feeling before i do it, so i don't do it that often.
edge guarding has always been a problem for me and to compensate for this, i sometimes wait ( or even willing) for the opponent to reach the stage again in order to kill them/throw them to their death :D
but any damage is good damage i guess when they're on the brink of losing one stock.
i need some help from you Ness experts the best ways to edge guard. but i think the best is probably multiple tactics instead of the one single move. I also need convincing regarding PK thunder tactics.
