Help with Cpt. Falcon matchup

If he's too fast for you, try to keep a banana in hand and toss it out of shield. After that, a Forward Smash or grab starting a juggle would be nice options to rack up damage. Also, F Air will outrange many of his options and Diddy had a clear advantage in the air over C.Falcon. Side B kick is also a good approach against Falcon and a good way to disturb him out of his flow. It will take priority over his Side B and Falcon Kick as well if timed right. Peanuts also are good to shoot at him whenever he's off stage. If you feel like taking risks in edgeguarding, try and land a D Air after you've hit him with a peanut.

Short hopped Fairs work very well, as he has practically no answer to them. If you can condition him to shield them, then you can land out of range of his shield grab and then rush in for a Dash Grab or Pivot Grab if you expect a spot dodge. I've also had good success in short hop monkey flipping over him, landing, and JCT a banana back at him. Most people try to punish a monkey flip by simply rushing in. Captain Falcon especially. The banana can catch them off guard and reward you with some combos.

Just be careful SH fairing because Falcon is quick enough to punish the landing if he doesn't commit to a jump. Also be careful pulling out a nana in neutral because if you go to Z catch it he can punish you from the other side of the stage.
